I'm a female, married, Midwestern graphic designer who's really way too old for all this fandom stuff. I've been an avid fan of anime and manga for well over a decade, and have a major interest in fan works: fanfiction, fanart, and doujinshi. I've been a science fiction and fantasy fan for double that, and a video gamer since the days of the Atari 2600. When I'm not geeking out to the above, I spend my time drawing, writing, cooking, and reading the more highbrow stuff like dry historical non-fiction.

This journal serves mostly as a repository for my works, and hosts related musings on writing, art and the creative process. There will also be the occasional entries on stuff that I like and fandom/fan works in general.

I read more manga than I watch anime lately. I usually read a ton of shoujo but many of my recent favorites seem to be shounen or seinen.

Current anime/manga obsessions are: Naruto, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Skip Beat!, Gintama, Mononoke, Bakuman, Yankee-kun to Megane-chan, Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro (manga is 10x better than the anime,) Kuroshitsuji, Otoyomegatari(the art is godly, go read this!), Koukoku no Shugosha (aka a manga that desperately needs to be translated into english,) the works of Midorikawa Yuki such as Natsuume Yuujinchou
